Everything you've always wished you didn't know about me...

1) My middle name is Jo, named after my mom.
2) I liked this idea so much that we gave each of our kids a "family" middle name.
3) I have lived in 7 states: NC, MI, TN, ID, FL, GA, & AL
4) My favorite color is blue. Always has been. Always will be.
5) I didn't get baby teeth until after I was 1. I didn't have any hair until I was almost 2. I'm still waiting for the boobs.
6) My hair isn't really blonde anymore.
7) I have 3 kiddos and I'm 99.999999999% sure we're done.
8) I have a BS degree in Speech Pathology.
9) When I was a kid, I was a "translator" for my little brother who had to go to speech because no one could understand a word he said.
10) That is not why I got my degree in Speech Pathology. 2 years into my "Undecided" major choice, I took a career placement test and it said I would make a good Speech Pathologist.
11) I worked as a Speech Tech in a Special Ed preschool for 1 year before staying home with my first child.
12) I'm still trying to figure out what I want to be when I grow up.
12) I have been to 6 foreign countries (Germany, Italy, Switzerland, France, Austria, and Southern Georgia)
13) I have been to or at least driven through 35 of these United States.
14) I have never been up East.
15) I would like to visit New Zealand with my husband someday.
16) I love, love, love to read.
17) I took piano lessons for 9 years.
18) I played the clarinet when I was in 5th-8th grade.
19) I was 1st chair all those years.
20) I don't play the clarinet at all anymore and I'd be lucky to peck out a tune on the piano.
21) When I was in 6th grade I went to CA to play in a soccer tournament.
22) The hotel we stayed at was very scary (think: bullet holes, cracked bathroom windows and locks that didn't work).
23) I had bunyan surgery on both my feet the summer after I graduated from high school.
24) I did not have an epidural when giving birth to any of my 3 children.
25) I delivered my 3rd child at a birthing center and it was wonderful, wonderful, wonderful.
26) I married my high school sweetheart.
27) We dated for 5 1/2 years before we were married.
28) We have been married for over 11 years.
29) I do not like to dust, clean bathrooms, or mop the floor.
30) I do not have a clean house. However, I do have a "neat" (picked up) house.
31) My chore of choice is laundry.
32) I used to really, really hate to empty the dishwasher. Then one day I actually timed myself to see how long it takes. It only took 1 1/2 minutes and now I don't mind emptying the dishwasher as much as I used to.
33) I make my children unload the dishwasher most days.
34) I am good at teaching my children to do things for themselves.
35) I like to bake.
36) I do not like to cook. Actually I just don't like having to figure out what to cook.
37) I grind my own wheat
38) and can make my own bread.
39) I like to alphabetize and sort things.
40) My mother makes fun of me because I like to alphabetize and sort things.
41) I think she's just jealous.
42) I think I would be a good librarian
43) or preschool teacher.
44) My favorite smell is Orange Ginger from Bath and Body Works.
45) I also like the smell of a peed-in diaper...weird, I know.
46) I could eat pizza 5 nights a week.
47) I only eat pizza once every 2 weeks.
48) I am going to run 13.1 miles on September 22, 2007.
49) The farthest I've ever run is 9 miles and that was just last week.
50) I love to swim.
51) My husband proposed to me on Christmas Eve in front of my family.
52) I should have seen it coming (remember we had been dating for 5+ years) but I was genuinely surprised.
53) He also gave me pearl earrings the night he proposed and I am wearing them right now.
54) I like to sing and dance....when no one is watching.
55) Growing up, I went to Iowa every summer to visit my grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
56) On one of those trips I saw a mama pig give birth to piglets....and I was shocked at the amount of blood (sorry for the graphic but that memory haunts me still).
57) At one time in my life I subscribed to flylady.net.
58) I am not nearly as anal as I used to be about having a clean house.
59) My husband probably wishes I were.
60) My mom is my role model.
61) So is my mother-in-law.
62) I believe that sleep (or lack thereof) is a reason that kids (mine especially) don't behave as well as they should sometimes.
63) I don't generally make excuses for my children.
64) My dad trusted me to make my own decisions because he said we learn from our mistakes.
65) Luckily I haven't made very many mistakes. Hee! Hee!
66) I crashed my car twice in a 6 month period when I was in High School. Ok, there's 2 mistakes...
67) I've never had a speeding ticket (knock on wood).
68) I was nominated for Homecoming Queen my senior year of HS.
69) "Nominated" is another way of saying I didn't win.
70) I don't care that I didn't win. Really, I don't care.
71) I became a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints when I was 17.
72) I went to early morning seminary my senior year of HS even before I was baptized.
73) I love to get mail.
74) I'd rather be hot than cold.
75) I wish I were a better friend.
76) I wish that every time I thought about writing a thank you note that I would actually do it. Unfortunately, more times than not, I don't.
77) My parents got divorced when I was 29.
78) I have one brother.
79) He is younger than me
80) but bigger than me.
81) I wish we were closer.
82) I think I am a typical 1st child.
83) I always wanted a sister. Now I have 5 sisters-in-law.
84) My favorite kind of ice cream is Rocky Road or Brownie Mud Pie or anything with lots and lots of chocolate.
85) I have one daughter that looks exactly like me.
86) We both have freckles.
87) I like to color.
88) I learned how to quilt last year.
89) I had a garden for the first time ever this year.
90) We grew green beans, summer squash, and cucumbers.
91) I tried to make pickles with the cucumbers and they were disgusting.
92) I am a good speller.
93) I never won a spelling bee...and I can still remember one of the words I missed (broccoli--did I spell that right?)
94) I am terrible at crossword puzzles.
95) I am really, really good a seek-a-word puzzles.
96) I only made 2 B's my entire college career (American History and Phonological Disorders)--the rest were A's.
97) I wish I still felt as smart.
98) I like to make lists.
99) But not this one particularly.
100) I am absolutely amazed that I came up with 100 things about myself. And I'm sure that over the next few days I'll think of 20 more things that I'll think I should have put on this list.
